Ring with a porcelain cameo featuring the profile of an Erinys -- A silver ring with a narrow band, slightly convex on its exterior. The silver features an oxidized, blackened finish. A round Parian porcelain cameo depicting the profile of an Erinys is set on the bezel. The Erinyes (Greek: Ἐρινύες) are female deities of retribution in ancient Greek religion. In the oath formula in the Iliad, they are called “the Erinyes, who avenge people who have made false oaths from beneath the earth.”

Sterling silver (925), patina, Parian bisque porcelain.

Parian porcelain was developed around 1845 by the Staffordshire ceramics manufacturer Mintons and named after Paros, a Greek island celebrated for its white marble used in ancient sculpture. This translucent porcelain is known for its marble-like texture, warm tone, and smooth, silky surface, allowing for exquisite detail.
