This piece features a rare Persian mosaic glass bead from the 8th–9th centuries AD. The bead displays a distinct checkerboard pattern of yellow, red, white, and brown squares and is in excellent condition.
The setting is a custom swivel mechanism crafted from sterling silver. The twisted shank tapers elegantly from the base towards the shoulders. The metal is partially gilded 24 kt to accent the texture.
