A spherical bead made of opaque red glass is set in a round sterling silver bezel with floral ornamentation. It is decorated with three blue glass inserts depicting portrait masks (two are visible from the front). The inserts are separated by two yellow and one red stripes. The bead was produced in the eastern provinces of the Roman Empire in the 1st–2nd centuries AD. Minor losses and traces of restoration are visible.
